Shopping with an 78 year old is...

kriscatworse than shopping with an 8 year old. I know, because I've done both, and the eight year old doesn't automatically assume that I don't know what I'm talking about...
At a clothes store: "I know you only need two, but it's buy two, get one free..." "Yes, I know you just wanted one white and one blue, but you get the third one for free..."
At another store: "But that curtain rod has the exact measurements as the one at home, you need the other size." "Because I checked before we left." "Yes I'm sure. I even measured the window."
At IKEA: "It's this way." "Yes, I know you wanted to look at that lamp, but it's this way." "Because I can see it from here!"
Also at IKEA: Yes I know we're going against the arrows, but that's because we took the short cut since we don't need to look at the furniture sections..." "Yes I'm sure it's the right way." "Positive." "::sigh:: There's that desk I want when I get something larger than my dorm room..."
And the day went on and on. Thank god we only do this like twice a year.
