Twilight

A friend sent me the Twilight books as pdf files. I'm now extremely glad I didn't cave in to my curiosity and spent money on them.I was hesitant to read about sparkling vampires but I never even got to the vampire parts.

I think good fanfics have spoiled me. My Mary Sue alarm went off as son as Bella described herself and it just got worse from there. I haven't got to chapter three yet, and I'm so sick of Bella that I just quit.

If anyone on my flist likes Twilight, I'm happy for you. It's always nice to find books you enjoy. But personally, I think I'll have a nap instead.

2 of my coworkers are all aflutter over Bella and Edward (it's Edward, right?), but admit that the first book was the best one. It's downhill from there :) Myself I have avoided the books so far and I think I'll keep avoiding them...

I think that should be wise. What annoys me is that some of the same people who used to sneer at me for reading Harlequins in my teen years go gaga over this. :(
